Environmental Club Environmental Club meets Tuesday afternoons with a rotating schedule.
Directed by Trina Clinkscales Fifth graders are nominated by teachers as being responsible, friendly students who are trained to meet, greet and take new students and parents on a tour of our school and to answer any questions about Magill. Many of these students are bilingual and are able to facilitate communication when we have families who don't speak English. Ambassadors are trained early in September and rotate their duties as we have new students and families moving into our school. PageturnersDirected by Jennifer Brown Friday's 7:45-8:20 am Media Center Pageturners promotes reading with students who desire to share their love of reading with others. Planned activities will include the following: Other Activities may include: Peer Leaders Peer Leaders are 5th graders who are selected because they display leadership abilities such as high academic achievement, responsibility and respect toward others. Our purpose is to become mentors to others, plan and lead Red Ribbon Week activities, tutor students and provide support to JC Magill students and faculty. Safety Patrol Magill Safety Patrols are 5th grade students who have exhibited the character traits of responsibility and respectfulness. They have also proven themselves in the classroom by maintaining an A - B average. School Store The Eagle Emporium is open every day in the cafeteria from 7:45 - 8:10. We sell school supplies for $1.00 or less. The store is run by 4th and 5th grade FOCUS students. Proceeds go to worthy projects, teaching materials, and other needs in the school. Student Council JC Magill Student Council is a group of students nominated by their peers to represent their class as a role-model student. The goal of Student Council is to provide responsible students with an opportunity to help lead their class by making good choices, help with recycling, and modeling good behavior. We will meet the first Tuesday of every month and have discussions on school rules, class rules, and model behavior and we will be doing jobs around the school to help keep our school the very best!
