WHAT IS TITLE 1?
The purpose of Title 1 is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.
Parents have the right to request information about the degree and certification of their child’s teacher(s) and paraprofessional(s), if applicable. This document is provided to parents in the Title I Parent Handbook, and the GCPS Parent Handbook.
